Halloween wreath

This Halloween wreath was super easy, but time consuming..so do it when you have time, but don't do it all at once! (oops the letters got crooked, I'll have to fix that :)

you need about a total of 1 1/2- 2 yds of fabric ( I had some scraps and I also bought 4 different kinds of material)

1 wire wreath form (I used a 12" form I think)

if you use a bigger form, you need more material!

1 large ribbon for the bow

boo letters (I cut out of carboard, painted, and glued beads)

brooch pins (to attach the boo letters)

cut your strips to 1"x6" pieces. make a pile of the different kinds of material and go in order when tieing them..or tie them in a random order. Just start at the top, on the inner circle and start tieing your strips in double knots side by side.

once all your strips are tied on. use chipboard letters or cut out your own and decorate it.

glue on the brooch pin on the back of the letter with hot glue and pin it to the wreath.

tie a bow and use a brooch pin and pin it to the top.

you are now done and hang it on your front door



Rapunzel Rapunzel ..let down your hair

I think this was one of the best costumes yet.. Rapunzel was all the rave this year and I got a sweet long hair extension braid from a friend that was the exact color of my girls hair..perfect. Anyways, this is a close replica of Rapunzels dress that I could come up with :)

Halloween blocks

These 3" blocks are modge podged with fabric
the letters are painted white from chipboard
sand all the edges for that antiqued look

Black Witch pettiskirt

Halloween is here and I love to dress up! The black pettiskirt is my witch skirt :) I'm going to post final pics when the time comes. The green tutu is for Tinkerbell and the maroon is for Rosetta

The banner says: Happy Halloween..easy to make:

*1/4yd makes 2 triangles..so depending on what you are spelling and how many different fabrics you want to use: I used 7 different fabrics.

*about 4 yards of binding, twill tape, or ribbon

*about 1 yard 2 sided fusible facing (whatever thickness you desire..or you can just use heat n bond)

*about 1/2 yard material for cutting out letters: I traced chipboard letters onto fabric (you can print out your font and cut it out of chipboard)

*1/2 yard wonder under, heat n bond, fabric glue for letters

..sew along the edge of the triangle once the interfacing is ironed in and then sew on the binding: overlap each triangle corner just a little.

The triangles are 8in wide on top and 10 in long down the middle (fold your fabric in half, then cut out the triangle) The interfacing should be just smaller than the fabric.

Fabric Pumpkins

I love this time of year..mostly because of the decorations! These pumpkins are easy to make:

• 1 yard fabric can make at least 2 medium sized pumpkins
• 2-3 yards ribbon
• 2 or more felt leaves, add glitter (opt)
• 4 or so inch stick, painted dark brown & glitter (opt)
• 2 or more bags of beans
• hot glue gun, glue
• needle and thread

For a small pumpkin, cut just over the size of a dinner plate, add 4 inches for next size up, etc. add your beans to desired fill for your stuffing. place stick and base stitch at the top, then pull once everything is in place. Use hot glue to secure fabric to the stick. Add ribbon around and hot glue to the stick. add the leaves at the base of the stick and tie ribbon and make a bow around the stems of the leaves and hot glue that to the stick. I used scissors to make the ribbon curl.
