These blocks are a bit time consuming, but so worth it in the end..super cute. You can make them for any season/occasion or even in your regular home decor.
The blocks are 3 x 3 x 3 wood blocks, cut from a wood beam from Home Depot. HD charges extra cuts, so just have your good ole husband do all the cutting :) unless you are super handy woman!
Sand the edges of the blocks and lightly paint the edges w/ any color: I used raw umber. Modge podge one side and slap on a piece of scrapbook paper 3 x 3 (you can either put the block down and use an exacto knife and cut around, or trace and use scissors)..do for all the sides..let dry
Once dry, sand the edges again. Then, modge podge over the paper on all sides. let dry. (leave one side dry, until the other sides of glue dries, then glue the last side)
Add some ribbon and slap on your chipboard letters. ( I added glitter spray to already red colored chipboard letters)
I would like to know what other people did for their holiday craft!
we did this for our mid week activity..thank you Cara for this wonderful craft idea :)
